Velcade And Dex Will Stop Until My Insurance Switches September 1 Will This Effect My Chemo My Numbers Are Way Down But I'm Worried .
September is not that far away. Treatments are often stoped for reasons like infection, or other illness. I would ask the doctor by e-mail through My Chart. Most offices reply within 24 hours, and you will have some assurance.
They can do that, while treatment is in progress? I'd like to know the answer too
I took a chance and stop my treatment for 6months...it was starting to effect my heart. WhenI went for my bloodwork...I was in remission. I was DX in 2015...remission in 2022/Nov. everything still OK.
What a healthcare system were a hospital decides it’s not dealing with an insurance company and throws all the patients out on the street!
It must be incredibly stressful for you. The idea that you cannot speak to the doctors who have been treating you is obscene and the fact you now are without your medication is criminal.
Have you tried contacting the hospital for a new prescription or your insurers for advice?
The idea that you are on your own having to find your own way forward is terrible.
Are you in remission or still being treated for MM. If you are in remission a break should not cause you problems.
Stay strong. Stay well.
Thank you
