I have been getting it for a few months now. It is an IV infusion takes a couple of hours. No side effects so far. Good luck.

Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) therapy is often recommended for people with myeloma who have low antibody levels, including low IgG counts. Here are some key points from the knowledge base:

- Administration: IVIG is given via intravenous infusion in a medical setting, typically once a month while antibody levels are low.
- Purpose: The goal is to protect individuals with weakened immune systems from infections.
- Effectiveness: A study found no significant difference in infection rates between those who received IVIG and those who did not.
- Side Effects: Possible side effects include headache, fatigue, fever, chills, muscle or joint aches, nausea, vomiting, kidney problems, blood clots, and rashes.

Always discuss potential benefits and risks with your oncologist.

Thank you for the input. You never had a blood test iggs subclass test done? This will let you know how your iggs are doing. There are 4 subclasses to iggs. I have like no igg 2 or 3. Meaning even if my igg total is in range, it doesn't mean there working good. So when I get the ivig it will be interesting to see if it effects the subclasses. I'll post results in a few months. You can Google iggs subclass and get good info. Oncologist don't want to go that deep with patients , because their corporate bosses don't want them too.😁
