I developed serious heartburn in the 6 month of induction therapy. Every night it would come on so strong that I kept 3 tums next to the night stand. I then started taking pepcide which really knocked it out.

I’m also going to guess you sleep on your right side?? To greatly reduce HB, sleep on your left side, which places your stomach lower than your esophagus. When on your right side it’s higher allowing stomach acid to flow out of it . It really works! See pic below.

My dad always went natural and would drink cultured buttermilk. It neutralizes the excess acid. I want to take as little medicine as possible. My dad is 91 and is on zero medications.

I take Omeprazole every morning...wait 30 minutes to eat. Works wonders...I have been taking it for over 10 years, far beyond my MM.

I use tums since they help with calcium also.

When I have heartburn I take Gas X and it helps get rid of the gas and then my heartburn goes away but when it’s really bad I take Tums. I also drink milk,eat ice cream and anything that will absorb the acid.
