I developed very painful PN flares in my hips and legs by the 5th series of VRD. My toes and front of my feet are numb. Calves tingle all the time. The numbness and tingling, I can deal with. Its the pain thats hard to ignore. Pretty sure its the Velcade causing it. The first bad flare, I was awake all night squirming. By the next morning I was thinking, oh hell...there had better be something that makes this better. Dr put me on Gabapentin 300 mg a day. It seems to help a little. At least its not at the level I cant sleep. So far, my hands are ok. I have been doing research on supplements for it, but everything that can counteract the way velcade causes PN also counteracts Velcade itself. Thats not a good thing. So for now, its Gabapentin.
I got Neuropathy when I was doing treatment I got it in both my hands and feet. After treatment I got rid of it in my hands but not my feet. I haven’t done any treatment since February 2020 so I guess I am stuck with it unless they come up with something to get rid of it.
I have had neuropathy for the past few months. Praying I can find something other than prescription drugs for relief.
