I am high-risk SMM and have been on Revlimid and Dexamethasone since May 5, 2022. The good news is that my MM markers are all trending in the right direction, significantly decreasing numbers in the ones that needed to go down, by a lot!! I am so grateful for this treatment! But I recently had something very strange happen with my blood pressure. I am on two blood pressure meds for high blood pressure with readings in 140s/80s even on the two meds, but now my BP readings have plummeted. Going… read more

Ask your doctor, but I'm wondering if the Revlimid and dex got rid of the myeloma proteins that could of been affecting your kidneys making your blood pressure high. Or you just don't need blood pressure meds while your taking these drugs 💕🥰

Hi, yes my blood pressure runs low on those meds. Top number as low as the 90’s and bottom number in the low 40’s. Just saw my cardiologist about this issue and he said as long as it doesn’t bother me then it’s ok. Hope this helps.

Yes, mine went low like that when I was in my initial rounds of VRD. Those pressures you listed, besides putting you at risk of fainting, are not good for your kidneys. Everyone with any version of myeloma needs a good cardiologist and nephrologist. I have light chain kappa so I saw my nephrologist a lot before my SCT.
