I have the same questions about the harvesting procedure. I currently am not planning on doing a ASCT.

I have had collection done twice and besides being a little boring it was no problem. If you feel tingling in your lips the nurse can slow down the process which helps. Bring an ipad or something to read helps the time go by.
Best wishes....

My husband had his stem cells harvested, took one session. No complications at all. Sometimes your calcium drops during the collection. You can have tingling sensation of lips, mouth, extremities. They give you calcium/tums.
