I’ve had 2. While I’m MRD Negative, I avoid getting it due to the X-ray radiation and the Radioactive Dye. If you get a CT or PET/CT it’s advisable to take 100mg of Melatonin shortly prior ( an hour or so). The Melatonin helps to bind the radiation and excrete it through your urine.

If my Quarterly blood sample clonoSEQ ever tests Positive, I’ll get a PET/CT to locate the source of the Activity.

I've had around 7-8.

I get a PET Scan every 6 months since I have been in remission which is almost 3 years. I just got my results and it’s all good! Yeah!

That’s good to know. I haven’t had a Pet Scan yet but will have one this year and I was worried about the dye interacting with my liver and kidneys. I’ve never taken melatonin before. I’m a little scared to try it. I was given a drug to relax me before knee surgery and it stopped my breathing. It has something to do with my Genes that make me a poor metabolizer of drugs.

Its depend on your doctor to have the Pat scan if they found something different on your body or the blood test result are not good, then they proceed for the scan.

I already had 4 to 5 scan on my treatment and this not including the MRI and the CT scan for both l have already many many x rays 🙂 and all are this cost $$$$.

I will doing Pat scan another 2 weeks time because of my blood work is not to expectations, they found patches on my lung and small dotted during the x ray.

So l got to be prepared for the outcome.

Pray hard ask God for help for the treatment l facing and make me for the easy path 🙏😥🥰
