Attached is a link to the Manitoba article you reference. The study in development can be predictive for precursor stages to progress to multiple myeloma. Note advanced stages of multiple myeloma can be insidious and life threatening, but not all cases. Multiple myeloma remains treatable in most cases.

Sounds like they have a ways to go from my reading but if it gets approved might help a lot of us with MGUS and SMM. I guess we just have wait and see.
