Judy,
The biggest mistake I made was going to an Oncologist who wasn’t a MM Specialist. Is your doctor a MM Specialist? If not, I would change doctors, or first ask why he/she thinks you don’t have neuropathy. It’s super common with MM and even SMM and MGUS. Were your CT scans clear for your back? Something is causing the pain. I see an Orthopedic Oncologist for my hips, spine and pelvis.

The drugs you might be taking for Myeloma cause neuropathy…mine do. Very uncomfortable but if helping Myeloma I’ll keep taking the drugs.

She is an MM specialist but very research oriented. It has not been proven that the MM causes neuropathy pain. I am seeing a pain doctor so she is trying injections in Jan. I hope it works.

I am going to pain management. I just wanted to check to see if this is “normal”. My oncologist refused to acknowledge that I have neuropathy. It is frustrating.

If it’s severe you need to talk to your doctor, get scanned and possibly get referred to Pain Management.🌹
