Filomena,
Most people don’t get diagnosed until they have full blown MM. Those that get diagnosed with MGUS can have it for years and never progress. Those first diagnosed with Smoldering have no idea how long they had MGUS, then Smoldering, so when they progress, they don’t really know how long it took from onset, I’ve seen some posts where they are smoldering then 2 months later have MM. I was diagnosed with MGUS in 2020 but probably had it since 2011. Diagnosed with Smoldering in 2023. Next month I get blood work to find if I have progressed farther. The last visit showed some of my numbers got better. I’m trying to eat a vegetarian diet with some salmon. Check out Dr Brandy’s book for a list of supplements.

I was diagnosed in 2017. Still smoldering—no treatment. Blood test every 6 months. Slightly up each test😞. We are all different.
