Can Someone Give Some Insight On CMMC Test.
the CELLSEARCH CMMC enumeration test is a non-invasive test that can help detect circulating multiple myeloma cells (CMMCs) in patients with multiple myeloma:
What it does
The test measures the number of CMMCs in a patient's blood.
How it's used
Doctors can use the test to identify patients at risk, monitor disease progression, and study the biology of the disease.
How it compares to other tests
The test provides complementary information to other standard tests, like bone marrow biopsies. It can also be performed repeatedly without the need for multiple bone marrow biopsies.
How it's available
The test is available to physicians in the US as a Laboratory-Developed Test (LDT). It's also available for biopharma research in Europe as a research lab service.
Hi Lou, I am not familiar with this test. I don't believe I have had it done on my blood. Please let me know what your doctor says. I am most interested. Is 17 cells per 4 mls good or bad?
Thanks again Donna,
Great info' 🐰

Thank you Donna. Just had my 3 year checkup. All the familiar test done. Imaging found a new lesion in spine and one on shoulder that was stable had doubled in size. Labs were not bad. The CMMC result was 17 per 4ml whole blood. Have no idea on that one. Only thing not showing on portal is bone marrow biopsy. Back to Dallas Wednesday to discuss it. Has been so good for 3 years with no treatment. Praying for 3 more years
