Dex disturbs your sleep for the first night for most people. It also can help to feel more energetic for a day or two and then less energy again. My husband taped shows and binged on dex night.

Back in early June, starting every other week, I had taken 2 (4mg) tabs dexamethasone on the one day I was infused with darzalex. On the following day, I was prescribed 2 tabs dex, and 2 tabs dex again on day 2 after. I don't have any advice to give, except that I experienced no noticeable reaction to either medicine, I will say that my general health and numbers are improving. This Friday, I'm starting to take the same dosage of dexamethasone in conjunction with darzalex, every four weeks. Sending best wishes to your husband and you.

My reactions to Dex: Irritable, Anxious, short tempered, headache, hungry, end of day I'm tired/exhausted but can't sleep. I try to avoid people or getting into serious discussions, have learned my triggers and politely isolate myself. Evenings I take 2-3 Tylenol PM to help me sleep but usually wake up after 4-6 hours. Also push myself to hit the gym. Takes discipline but feel better afterwards. PLEASE check with your doctor about the Tylenol PM and my advice.
