Hi Karen - yes, Velcade, Revlimid and Dex was the regimen I followed to prepare for my stem cell transplant. It's been awhile - 2016, but I remember it wasn't too terrible. It did make me tired, and the Dexamethasone always turned my face bright pink. I remember not tolerating the initial dosage of Revlimid very well, and they had to reduce the dosage.
Best wishes with your treatment and God bless. πŸ™πŸ»

Chemotherapy for myeloma can be administered in various ways, including oral medication or intravenous (IV) shots. Here are some key points from my knowledge base:

- Administration: Chemotherapy drugs can be taken orally at home or administered intravenously in a clinical setting.
- Side Effects: Common side effects include fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, weight loss, hair loss, skin problems, mouth sores, and neuropathy (nerve damage).
- Immune System: Chemotherapy can weaken the immune system due to low white blood cell counts.
- Cognitive Effects: Some people experience "chemo brain," which includes memory problems and trouble focusing.

Always report any side effects to your doctor, as they can adjust dosages or provide medications to help manage symptoms.

Same regimen John was on too. He's down to Revlimid and I can't think of the name but a injection every 3 months.
