Hi Juanita,
I have low neutrophils also. That means you white blood cell count is low. White blood cells are a big part of your immune system, which means if it is low, you can easily get sick. It was my low neutrophils that had my Rheumatologist send me to an Oncologist.

Absolute neutrophil count (ANC) is a measure of the number of neutrophil granulocytes present in the blood. Neutrophils are a type of white blood cell important for fighting infections.

In the context of multiple myeloma, blood tests like the Complete Blood Count (CBC) are used to measure overall blood health, including white blood cell counts. A low neutrophil count (neutropenia) can be a concern as it may increase the risk of infections.

If your neutrophil count is 960, it is below the normal range (typically 1,500 to 8,000 neutrophils per microliter of blood). This condition should be discussed with your healthcare provider to understand the implications and necessary precautions or treatments.
