From what I could see it shows that you have high risk markers. It is hard to see because the image comes out so small.

I saw in a response that you chose not to do SCT, may I ask why?
I was high risk and did tandem transplants. My high risk markers were undetectable after my transplants and I have remained CR for almost 12 years now.

I can’t promise that you would achieve the same results as me as we know each person responds differently, but curious if you are avoiding SCT out of fear?

Yes Donna, I think the harvesting will occur after I end treatment and go to maintenance. I will scan with a flat bed it will give better scans.

Hi Rick, I can't really read all of the reports. It does mention 17p deletion, so you are considered high risk. I can't tell if you are 11:14 translocation or not? I think you are, so we have similar genetic markers. Just make sure they do mrd testing on your bone marrow samples to make sure your induction is getting you to the deepest response possible. Were you given to option to harvest your stem cells? I'm just curious

Hi Paula, yes I am hoping treatment alone will work for me. Along with diet and exercise. I don't really have the time to micromanage my condition as of now. But in 2 years when I retire, I will be able to focus all my energy on it, that is if I am still doing well.

Hi Victor thanks for your response. I actually originally opted out of treatment because I am still working, live alone and planned to work another 2 years. My doctor told me with an SCT I would be needed assistance and be out of work anywhere between 2 weeks and months. So that wouldn't work for me. Now I am not sure if I will ever have an SCT unless there are no other options. It can be very hard on the body, but I understand so can the treatment for some people. I do want to harvest cells to keep the option on the table. Glad you have got 12 years out of your SCT so far.
