Does A Bone Density Scan Show The Holes/lesions In Our Bones?
OR maybe the scan is only to show thinning etc.
No, a bone density will just give your t score to see if you have osteoporosis or osteopenia. We need, x rays, PET scan or MRI's to show bone lesions.
You need a pet scan to reveal lesions throughout your body.
my bone....tiny holes, as he said was through a CT scan. Ok, I was just wondering if lesions/holes showed up on the survery. Got my answer. Thank you guys!!
I did get a bone survey as part of my initial diagnosis. PET CT scans and MRI's show bone lesions much better than regular x rays.
I had a bone survey as part of my first diagnosis. It was 40 xrays and it found the hole in my left shoulder.
