"No matching staging information was found for this patient."
What does this statement mean?

You don’t have any of the classic “features” commensurate with MM. You’re just classic!

Kathryn, do you need me to travel to Alaska to kick your team in gear? Listen. I’m not criticizing your doctors but did you get the following tests?
Serum Albumin
Serum B2M
LDH Test
Cytogenetics test showing additions deletions translocations or duplications

So if you got the 4 tests above I can tell you what stage you are!

Dr. Parker is on call!

Uhmmm, could you clarify classic? You mean just the run of the mill MM; nothing extra bad, it's just there, kind of thing? Way back in the diagnosis days, my oncologist ...guessed...that I am stage one. Does that mean the same thing...in the long run? Sometimes I think I have something else, not MM...just my way of thinking. Because of symptoms, I was thinking MS
Never mind.....

Kathryn, have you ever seen a myeloma specialist? A regular oncologist doesn't know how to stage myeloma. They also don't know which tests to order. We aren't mocking or making fun. We are just concerned!! I saw where you asked about a immunoglobin test, this measures immunoglobulin IgE, IgA, IgG, IgM. You should have had this test at the beginning of diagnoses. Myeloma is a cancer of the plasma cells. Immunoglobins are made by plasma cells. If one immunoglobin is elevated it could mean your myeloma is active. My myeloma is IgG so if my IgG goes up my myeloma could be acting up. Do you know what type of myeloma you have?

Maybe you are an elite patient. They are just observing you cause they like you. If you had myeloma they would know, at least I hope so. Study your blood labs and see if you have any trends. It’s certainly not that hard to learn. Plenty of info online and free booklets.
