Is he bone marrow transplant eligible? Could he get the Autologous Stem Cell Transplant?

If so, consider that. But in any event ask the doctors if he could get Revlimid (aka Lenalidomide) 10mg 21 days on, 7 days off for 2 years. Also ask if he can take dexamethasone (Decadron) pills every month along with 18,000 units of Daratumumab (Darzalex FasPro) as an infusion in the belly every month.

If he has only been on Alvocade (Velcade) for 16 weeks that might not have been enough.

Doctors around the world are calling for every patient to get the best drugs up front and for maintenance!

The studies confirm this. It is the best regimen for his progression free survival and overall survival!

Usually, myeloma patients are offered some type of maintenance to extent their progression free survival. I am on two maintenance drugs since I am high risk.

Hi Tarane!
Welcome! Yes Mark is correct we have been through the autologous stem cell transplant and currently I’m mm cells free and MRD negative but still on maintenance dose of 5mg revlamide to keep chance of mm cells coming back since mm has no known cure yet!

It’s proven a plant based diet helps in this fight too!
