Could A Thyroid Problem Cause A Kappa Rise?
Or any other problem, other than MM?
I googled it
Yes, both hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism can be associated with light chain levels:
Hyperthyroidism
Lymphocytes from hyperthyroid patients can react with anti-kappa or anti-lambda, and may have both light chains on the same lymphocyte.
Hypothyroidism
Patients with hypothyroidism have a higher light chain burden than euthyroid patients. Other factors associated with hypothyroidism include age, sex, renal involvement, and hepatic involvement.

I used to get my thyroid checked every 3 months. Then it was changed to once a year. Since my unusual number recently. I will have another test July 8th and maybe I'll be checked every 3 months again. They said the yr. thing was because my number was pretty stable and felt they didn't have to test as often.
I too get my thyroid checked annually as one test was elevated.
I get my thyroid checked once a year at least
