It sure is . No one completely understands because you “ look good “ . My husband is my caregiver and helps my attitude so much . He is glad I joined this group because you all understand .

Yes, I have three fractured vertebrae. I certainly hope to avoid surgery but I'll deal with it as it comes. I hope your pain can be dealt with simply.

Wow!! I'm happy to hear your pain is a bit better and you are able to get around with a walker. The Kyphoplasty's helped briefly but now I believe I have another fracture. When I refractured my T11 and T12 they couldn't perform another Kyphoplasty so I have been mostly laying in my bed. I use heat and ice. I'm having a stand up MRI done in a couple weeks. It is nice talking to someone who understands the struggles and life changes.

Before the surgery my pain was excruciating . I had no idea my spine was collapsing. The day I went for an XRay the hospital called before I even got home and said to come right back . They already scheduled surgery the next day . I still have back pain , but not like before . I have to pace myself . Walking or standing for long periods is difficult , but I went from a wheel chair to a cane and now a walker . So I am grateful .
You had so many fractures ! I fractured my left arm while I was in rehab last June for an Ostomy surgery . Are you in a lot of pain still ?
