There is a Multiple Myeloma Guide published by the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation that can provide technical information. It is also available for download from their website. Some of these topics can require a rather lengthy answer . I hope this helps.

I was curious myself. I have Monosomy 13, so I googled what the difference was. Here is what it said ;
The presence of Monosomy 13 is associated with a significantly poor progression free survival, while interstitial deletion 13q is associated with significant improvement in the overall survival. Posted on www.thieme-connect.com

The deletion of all or part of chromosome 13, specifically del(13q14), identified through a FISH test, is associated with a poorer prognosis in multiple myeloma. This chromosomal change increases the chances of having a worse outcome.
