Chronic Nausea - Anyone Suffer From This Prior To Diagnosis Of MGUS Or MM? I Am Wondering If It Is MGUS/MM Related.

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question πŸ’
Heart of Texas

I have suffered from this for around 7 years, gastroparesis makes it worse, PCP prescribed Zofran after OTC meds stopped working, doctors say MGUS doesn't cause this. I'm confused and tired of the nausea.

Cheryl,
You know your body best and all your different diagnosis'. I have to remind my doctors what I can or cannot take medication wise. I had a Cardiologist tell me I did not have significant pericardial fat around my heart and told me to prove it. I did not have paperwork with me at the time. She's the one who ordered the test and she could have looked at my records on the computer. We have to advocate for ourselves, but remember, there might come a time when you cannot, and someone else will have to. Write it all down.

Cheryl,
Now that my heart is recovering, the pounding in my ears is gone, and the nausea is gone. I started eating organic oatmeal for breakfast and lots of strawberries and blueberries, avocado etc, to get healthier. Hope this helps. My cholesterol did go down.

@A MyMyelomaTeam Member Thank you for your reply! Very interesting, I have tinnitus as well! I developed it after I had a DVT/PE and started on anticoagulants, thinking that was the reason. Now I am not so sure, but knowing it could also be the cause (or one of many) for my nausea makes sense.

Certain pain meds can cause nausea, and you can experience nausea if your liver has been affected by MM. I take an OTC liver support tablet and it really does help. Good luck
