I Have Kappa Light Chain. After My SCT My Mspike Is Undetectable; However My Protein Electrophoreses Serum Is Abnormal
My doctor says I'm not in remission; A lot of the tests are measured to gauge remission. I wonder if other doctors say you are in remission when Mspike is undetectable.
When theres no M spike myeloma isnt present. I’ve researched & spoke to alot of dr from all over the country as well as people with myeloma. Some levels can be abnormal which is cuz myeloma is treatable not curable so even tho in remission i still have faint bands IGG just not enough to cause concern. There will probably always be some cells in our body/ blood that are cancerous as they cannot all be removed with treatment & SCT they just are not multiplying. Im in remission almost 4yrs and some still abnormal test & urine which is common for this Dx
Stay positive to all and prayers
God is good
I agree with Amy. Maybe your doctor doesn't believe in remission. Just saying.
My Dr. never uses the term so it is new to me. She will make a comment on the spike and last time either wasn’t one or partial as was pleased in what she saw.
thanks for the response. Yes, I had a partial response; not complete
In my case, yes! Doctor said that..not even partial?
What Were Your Kappa Levels At The Highest Point Before Treatment? What Was Your Highest K/L Ratio? Thank You, Curt ( Newfoundland )
