I'm in the same situation, currently trying to see a Myeloma specialist for a 2nd opinion. I've been going to my current hematologist/oncologist for almost 7 years, but for anemia & more recently MGUS (which was detected through promisestudy.org).

You should also check out mmrf.org, IMF.org, and Health Tree, tons of great info and help there like this site!

I totally understand @A MyMyelomaTeam Member , it all can get very mind boggling and overwhelming, which is why I often hesitate to post any videos related to MM. I just find these types of videos discussing ongoing research in how to detect early MM and possibly prevent progression very hopeful and informative! It's amazing the advancements they have made related to MM in just the past 20+ years, just the past 10 years!

I am totally with you on all the doctors! I just went to my regular cardiologist appointment (been seeing him 20 Years) and I had to repeat my history because he didn't remember. I understand they have tons of patients and can't memorize every detail of their patient's medical history, but having to do this at every doctor you go to can be overwhelming and make you wonder!
