What Does It Really Mean When You Are Diagnosed As Having Smoldering MM.
There are enough plasma cells in the bone marrow (> 10%) to call it myeloma, but no disease related symptoms. Requires close monitoring, but no treatment other than possible bone strengthening drugs.
I will pull some lab reports and review them. Thank you so much for giving me simple answer! I understand your defination!
The IgA, IgG, IgM is the the cell type that is malignant. Mine is IgA. That comes from a blood test. The amount of plasma cells and the chromosomes structure comes from a bone marrow biopsy. If you have not had one I would recommend you talk to your doctor about getting one. You should know your light free chain numbers also. I am Lamba at about 600. I hope this helps.

Where are these numbers coming from? I don't understand so much of these number games. Everytime Im on here a team member refers to numbers and IGA and IGN numbers, etc
I probably got that wrong too. LOL. Any light you can shed will be helpful
Thanks
