I have chromosome abnormalities too. I was confused as to which ones I had, because the Bone Marrow Biopsy/Cytogenetic Report is so hard to understand. Make sure your Oncologist fully explains it to you, that way when you are looking up information online, you are only seeing your specific Myeloma. A scan can really help diagnose you too. I’m glad you are getting one.

Thank you for the reply. I am IGA kappa with chromosome abnormality. Just received the diagnosis and now need a PET/CT so I am super new to this new me.

This article does not address prognosis of IgA Kappa. Check out theMMRF.org or HealthTree. I Google everything and see a lot of articles in NIH (National Institute of Health). Having IgA Kappa can be challenging, but there are many factors in MM that affect prognosis. IgA Kappa can affect the kidneys, so be sure to drink water and stay away from salty foods.
