Diagnose in 2018. Had all the pills,,to being onKyprolis,& recently started Xpovio, for a short time-due to not liking the side effects. So we wait for 2 mos to know what to do next as we watch the IgA levels. They r in the 600s.

Hi Myrtho - Yes, Definitely - we can get back into remission.

I had treatment two years ago. Got to remission in 7 months, no SCT.
A dormant lesion became active this past summer - I had been off all MM Meds for a year. Started treatment Sept. 1 - back in remission after only 3 months of a much lessor dose and off all MM Meds again.

If we respond and get to remission, I believe we do better staying off MM Meds. Dr Costa (very big deal in MM community) has said exactly this. There's links to his Study and Video at my Story.

Recently, I read a PubMed Case Study that showed that DarzFasPro stopped working due to it suppressing CD38 of the MM. But by being off it for 6 months, it regained its ability to kill-off the MM. DarzFasPro is engineered to specifically kill-off cells that express CD38. All forms of MM express CD38. Sometimes, it's not tested for in our FISH Test, since its a given that it will always be there.

I've detailed all of this at my Story @A MyMyelomaTeam Member. I believe my new Plant Based Diet and Key Supplements made my Revlimid and Dex perform at a very accelerated level. During that time, I was also doing intermittent water fasting of 16 hours water and only an 8 hour window for my food for the day.

If it's been a while, get a new PET/CT to try and locate where the activity is coming from, such as a lesion or your marrow everywhere or an isolated region.

Myrtho,
Keep in mind one of revlamide side effects are bone too so it makes it real difficult to distinguish what is causing the back pain.
Almost all the chemo drugs have the side effect listed as bone pain except dexymethasone and that’s why I love dexymethasone so much! Course you can only take so much for so long and it does have side effects too!!!

I take MRM Bone Maximizer III, which has Microcrystalline hydroxyapatite (MCHA) which it says supports bone health and builds bone density. Strontium Citrate is another bone builder. You take it at night, so it’s not competing with the calcium.
