What does it mean when the IgG levels go below normal range? Mine is 325. My oncologist did not seem concerned.

My oncologist explained to me that those numbers will fluctuate. It's based on your immune system depending on whether or not you have infections and such.

As Donna said, be careful regarding viruses or infections. After your SCT your childhood vaccine immunities will be gone and you will need to take them over again. The revaccinations take place over 1-2 years, and depend on which is being targeted. Love vaccines like chicken pox measles and rubella will have to wait at least a year.

Dawn, it does mean you are more likely to catch stuff. Like flu and Covid. Plus, we don't always make the right kind of antibodies from vaccines. So, I still wear a mask in crowds, at the grocery store and church, for example. I wash my hands frequently as well. Also, it's good to get checked out pretty soon if you start feeling bad and have a feverπŸ’–πŸ˜‰πŸ’•

It's from myeloma and our treatments. My IgG is just 212. It's called severe hypogammglobinemia. They can give us IVIG replacement, especially if you are having frequent infections. πŸ’–
