Hey Everyone! Do
Hey Everyone! Does anyone know how to interpret this from my Immunoelectrophoresis (IFE), Serum test.....
Faint Delta heavy chain without associated
light chain and IgG Kappa monoclonal protein.
Bless57,
I agree that itโs best to ask the doctor. I have IgA Kappa. There are different types. It looks like you have IgG Kappa which is the most common. There are also Light chains and Heavy chains. They have identified what you have. It helps them determine what chemo to give you, when you need it.

This is how mine reads
Immunofixation of serum faintly demonstrates the previously identified IgG lambda paraprotein in the far cathodal gamma region and the cathodal IgG kappa band consistent with daratumumab.
@A MyMyelomaTeam Member I did ask the doctor to do the mrd testing from the original bmb. he said it is not necessary to do it. so he will do it after my 8th cycle.
Did they do MRD testing on your first bone marrow? You will want them to do one on the first bone marrow. I don't really understand why, but its important so they can map your original clones to see if they change over time. You could also ask if your lab had the Daratumab specific immunofixation. It does make it a little less confusing. My lab was unable to get the test for several months. Yes, it is fantastic that you are responding so well to treatment. God is good๐๐
@A MyMyelomaTeam Member It is soooooo great that the IgD is gone...my doctor said the igg will stay there as long as I'm on darzalex. however there is still Faint Delta heavy chain without associated light chain not sure what that means other than the kappa light chain is gone. but they cant get a number because it is so faint. doctor said it should go soon since I am 99% free of mm.
