Remission And Revlimid.

Jeff had ASCT 6/2021. Dr said it was IgG Lambda, with: 13q-/-12 deletion (13), 1p32/1q21, t(11;14) He is in remission. The only labs that are currently off are: IgM=28.8, Lambda Qty=37.9. M Spike is 0.3. He's been on Revlimid 20mg. Would lowering the Revlimid help with the fatigue, (and other symptoms), and still keep him in remission?

I don’t think reducing Revlimid will help reduce your fatigue and with 3 risk factors it’s probably best to stay on the 20mg though that’s a question for your oncologist - see if 10mg would be acceptable.

I’ve been off all MM meds for 14 months and I was still struggling with fatigue. I asked my GP for 10mg Ritalin three times daily. It’s been very helpful. I typically only take it twice a day around 7am and 1pm. If I feel the need, I have the OK for the third - I’d consider 7pm so long that it doesn’t interfere getting to sleep at night,

Hi Colleen - Never had an issue of ADHD. Was able to focus very well for many hours on software and electronic development for the past 50 years. 2 years ago, prior to diagnosis, I was spending hours daily, programming software that required weeks of clear focus.

Treatment caused significant fatigue and a complete loss of focus. I could no long read technical articles for hours on end, let alone get back to programming.

Now with Ritalin (10mg twice daily), I have plenty of energy - a very comfortable type that last for hours. I'm far more alert - making me safer when driving. I've been months at an indoor golf range and out golfing again and I just stated back at the gym, with the energy to do so.

Being off All MM Meds for these past 14 months has allowed my immune system levels to return to Normal but did nothing for my fatigue and loss of focus. Ritalin has restored my energy and focus.

All of my Docs (GP, 3 oncologists, others I occasionally visit) are very fine with my Ritalin use, as well as my oxycodone use for my neuropathy and pinched L4 nerve.

L4 was pinched from original L4 fracture (repaired by kyphoplasty) just under two years ago - been told by two Spine Docs that surgery is too risky since I have it under control with oxycodone - just leave it be and live with it.

A reasonable question would be does the oxycodone contribute to my fatigue. I'm taking a very low dose of 5mg 4-times daily. My Docs are all good with my oxycodone use, even forever if needed. I don't think the oxycodone was causing the lack of focus but either way, Ritalin has resolved both issues.

All the Best

Larry2 why are you on Ritalin? Isn't that an ADHD med? Do you have ADHD or do they give it to you for engergy?
