Joint Or Bone Pain

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi to all
I am 18 month post ASCT. I’ve had a knee replacement this year and my best of 3 low back fusions

Hi Richard, I didnt have anything like that, but you have had a lot of surgeries. Wow to walk three miles, wow. Check in with your doctor about this. Sometimes I over do things, and forget that I have had a stem cell transplant and on Revlimid. Take it easy and see your doctor. Sometimes we all get nervous about all aches and pains, I hate when that happens! But thats what our doctors are there for.

Hi Rick I have joint pain often and have had it for years. I guess it’s arthritis. We still get other issues unfortunately. I do find that it is exhausting but try some daily stretches. When I start feeling soreness I stretch and it helps. The fatigue has never gone away for me either. I have been off all MM meds for almost a year and still nap often. The walking and exercise does help me the most.

Some people have an improvement in joint pain if they avoid sugar, red meat and processed foods. I know I'm more achy if I eat sugar. I love to bake so it's tough to avoid all together 😏

Rick, I certainly have not had the issues that you have had! But my MM started with pain in my back for well over 10 years! The pain wasn’t bad enough for me to see the Doc, just a little aggravating! Well I fell off a ladder one day and the wife made me go to hospital. No problem from the fall, however, they found 3 lesions on my spine! That led to surgery to remove the largest one and radiation, chemo and SCT! So that’s a long story to say yes I think lesions can be found with XRAY! Good Luck with your health issues!!🙏

Rick, you might ask the doctor about some advanced imaging like PET CT or MRI. Just to give you peace of mind. I hope your appointment goes well💕🙏💗
