Bad Swelling In Legs And Feet

I weaned off Dexamethasone 8 weeks ago. Shortly after that I developed bad swelling from mid-thigh down to my toes. ( I only ever had one swollen foot before)
Also about the same time I went down to 10mg of Lenalidomide from 25mg. The edema has not improved and I've been recommended to seek out a vascular MD. Has anyone else developed this really bad edema? My calves are hard as a rock, ankles swelled to twice their size and very swollen feet (along with long term peripheral neuropathy).… read more

If you have not already had your heart and kidneys checked recently, those possible sources of edema in the legs should be investigated. You may want to wear thigh high pressure stockings to help avoid damage also, but do so with guidance from your doctor as to the correct strength of the stockings.

Hi Mark. I did have lower leg, ankle and feet swelling the first year I started treatment. But nothing as bad as you are describing. I hope you are seeing the vascular doctor soon.
