Why do you have to go thru 4 different treatment drugs before you can get to either CAR-T or Bi-specific treatments?
I think it's because there are other drugs that can work well without the extreme measures of a CAR-T procedure. I think they even prefer a Stem cell transplant before CAR T, but not sure. Car-T is newer. I agree w/ the other comment from Teese, to ask your doctor. That is something he/she should be explaining while discussing your options. Never be shy about asking your doctor questions. That is what they are there for.
Thats a great question……
That is a valid question for your oncologist to be straightforward about answering. Please let us know the answer you get.
RELAPSE (SCT)
Is there a drug that targets cancer cells only, available now?
I have stage 3 MM and choose not to do SCT. What are my options?
