Tandem Transplants

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

My Doc is suggesting tandem transplant due to my multiple high risk features and that I became refractory during induction therapy. Just looking for any feadback/experiences from anyone who has done this.
I am 56 and in great health except for the cancer. Only complications are bone lesions.

Bummer that it did not last longer.
I am 57 with multiple high risk factors so I went ahead with the tandems last summer they were 82 days apart. Initially I was MRD - at 6 months had a bit of a m-spike was reclassified at complete remission but not MRD-. Have held there for the last 6 months. In 2 months I can stop the Kyprolis and Dex just have the Pomolyst till it stops working. Excited to reduce my treatment by so much. The Doc was guessing I would stay in remission 18-22 months, I am doing all I can to beat that. Clean eating, exercising, yoga to just name a few things.
I pray the Car-T is longer lasting for you guys.
