I Am Scheduled For CAR T Therapy In Late February
My cells are being genetically engineered right now. I am wondering if any of you have been through the procedure and have any advice or feedback you are willing to share. It is somewhat daunting…but my best chance…it will be Carvykti. Thanks!
Thank you for your feedback! So many of the possible side effects are scary…but I have no choice because my high risk genetics are unable to keep me in remission…my labs are getting worse and worse, my pet scans show severe disease progression…so I am giving this my best shot! I am strong and will continue fighting…
I had Car T Therapy it will be 2 years in February. It put me into remission again after 1 1/2 in remission from Stem Cell Therapy. First week was good then near the end I got a high fever that had to be treated with antibiotics. I eventual had to come back because I got cdiff which was cleared up with another antibiotic. I also got a partial facial palsy of the right side of my face which cleared up a week later after several tests. I am very happy with results of the Car T for me it was life or death.
The Car T Therapy I got attacks Myeloma cells on two different locations. If one location mutates its chances are high that second site will not.
Good luck. I believe CAR-T cell therapy will lead to the cure. I. Hoping I qualify for a trial when I relapse.
Good Luck and a long remission.
I Am Scheduled To Start Car-T Therapy CarVect-T Next Month
