Does Anyone Worry About Traveling, Then Breaking A Bone And Trying To Figure Out How To Get Back Home, Much Less Get Their Bone Fixed?

I want to visit family up North, but worry since they are 2 hours from Specialists. The doctors in their town aren’t very good. My nephew just got shipped via ambulance to Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Hi .
You can’t stop living !
Anytime you can do things for your soul- it will help your condition.
I do travel allot ! Some flights are 12 hours , I did go to the Caribbean and South America for purely fun ! If you stop living the cancer won.
Breaking a bone is less likely to happen- the problem with traveling is the viruses on flights , when traveling you exposed to many people on flights and airports . I did got few times flu , and even COVID (now COVID is not that deadly)
Visiting family is very important for your soul.
Just live life as much as you can and trust god .
Even if you break a bone , is not that bad , you must keep living !

Good luck
Got bless .

If we stop living, then the cancer has won. I refuse to let that monster win.

We just recently asked our oncologist about traveling with MM. He encouraged us to go as much as we were able. Since I was diagnosed we have traveled to Europe twice and crusied Alaska along with road trips here in California. For us it comes down to how we feel and using some wisdom about how adverturesome to be.
We do try and not be in large groups in cramped settings but that is pretty much it.
God has given us good docs and drugs so don't want to waste time setting at home as long as we are able to be out and about.

I concur with patsy. I've ridden motorcycles for 30+ years. Sold them before I began treatment incase I needed money for whatever. When my oncologist told me I was in remission and to go enjoy life again I asked if I could resume riding. She said yes but with caution.... so I guess you should just consult with your care team and live life...
