Is There A Specific Time Limit Where You Can Be Deemed "out Of The Woods"....
I just had my 3 month bloodwork and there's still no mspike or para protein detected. I'm a few months shy of being two years in remission and am wondering if they'll be any relaxing in the testing protocols?π€
Bob, once we have myeloma we are always have to keep watch on our numbers. I follow my doctors recommendations for treatments and labs. I hope you have a very long remission. π₯°
My oncologist has told me that she's focused on the para protein, light chain ratios and my globulin levels. The light chains are also indicative of infections.
I haven't had abnormal protein from almost the beginning of this journey Now, again, I wonder if I'm watching the right numbers. Are light chains used for other cancers? Am I fooling myself that I know what's going on with me?
Congratulations! π·πππ«πΊπΌπΈπͺ»πΉ
