What Are The Progression Estimates From Smouldering Myeloma To Multiple Myeloma? Did Anyone Experience This?

I was recently diagnosed as having smouldering myeloma, and my doctor did not recommend a treatment but a check-up in a few months.

The progression estimates from smoldering multiple myeloma (SMM) to multiple myeloma are as follows:

- First 5 years after diagnosis: About 10% of people develop multiple myeloma each year
- 5 to 10 years after diagnosis: About 3% of people develop multiple myeloma each year.
- 10 years or more after diagnosis: About 1% Show Full Answer

- Bone lesions visible on X-rays
