I’m probably telling everybody what they already know … cancer loves sugar so, really limit your sweets!💜

Deb, and everyone, I always thought cancer cells love sugar however, this might be incorrect. I just looked at what the Mayo Clinic says … they don’t see a correlation. Think I’ll go have a Reese’s!🤣

I've always heard that cancer loves sugar but when I asked my team about that I was told it wasn't conclusive. They have not one time told me to not eat sugar which is a bit scary. I don't eat alot of sweets but I've been bad during the holidays. I've also picked up with my carbs which is sugar. I really don't know what to eat because my appetite is poor since cancer. I have to force myself to eat. Nothing much taste the same so it's hard to eat when nothing floats your boat. I do live alone which is a hugh factor. It's hard getting siked up to cook for 1 person. Anyway I would love to know the truth about this and if some cancers are worse than others for eating sugar.

For all that commented about the sugar, as I mentioned my cancer team said that it was not proven..Like I also mentioned I don't eat alot of sweets but I do have a bit or two of something even if it's a couple bites of a cookie. I'm actually addicted to coffee chocolate Worthers..They ate hard candy but not sure if it is any worse or better..Just really interesting what MM doctors are saying about sugar and others are saying it's ok to eat sugar, just move around...

Sheilah the sugar part I agree with. However, if you’re taking Revlimid daily with no labs monthly, how are they keeping up with regulating your milligrams of this medication????

Yes dark chocolate is the best and our bodies do need some sugar to operate but key is don’t overdo and keep eating lots of plant based veggies and fruits. I’m searching for good recipes so I can find one I really like. Parsley carrots lemons garlic green tea and white button mushrooms broccoli cabbage are some of the best anti cancer foods to eat. I like to juice carrots and apples once a week at least. Finding good recipes that you like keeps you motivated to eat healthier. I only eat meat in small portions mostly chicken and fish but I still like my steak once in a while. Oh and nuts be sure to include almonds, walnuts and pumpkin seeds along with chia seeds, ground up flaxseed and sunflower seeds.
Seasonings help these foods taste better good choices are tumeric black pepper, oregano garlic cayenne pepper cumin curry powder coriander.
