I was diagnosed with Stage 2 MM June 2017 when my T5 collapsed and unfortunately the surgery to fix my spine wasn’t done properly. I had to go through a stem cell transplant and lots of chemo before I could have the revision surgery as my oncology team felt that it was important to get my m-spike as low as possible first. I just had that T5 area fixed in mid-September and all was good! I still never achieved remission so I was just taken off my maintenance for about 6 weeks and then resumed. The recovery was tough for the first 3 weeks and I had to wear a brace with a neck collar. I was able to ween from the brace at 5 weeks and was back to work traveling at 7 weeks, and now doing Yoga/Pilates. I feel great!

My wife had her spinal fracture cemented just before treatment began. She was in unbelievable pain before the surgery the surgery and radiation has worked and the pain is subsiding day by day. Our doctor assured us the surgery would help and lesson her recovery time. She had it three weeks ago and started the radiation and chemo last week. Makes sense that cementing the fracture and killing the lesions would help and it has. 😊❤️

I had 2 disc's fused, S1 and S2. Was a rough surgery. Try to be patient and know that it will be a long process, but you will get better. I will help answer and help where i can.
